Summary
ISG Jubail seeks a dynamic Social Studies teacher with expertise in the IBDP and Middle and High School levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging students in history, geography, business, and broad-field social studies, inspiring them to become conscientious and compassionate global citizens. We are looking for an educator who fosters interdisciplinary connections, promotes literacy, and creates authentic, relevant learning experiences. A commitment to a well-rounded and flexible Social Studies program is essential, along with the ability to cultivate critical thinking and inquiry-based learning in the classroom.

Specifically with regards to Social Studies, the successful candidate will be able to effectively:

- Be a champion for middle school students, middle school learning, and the middle school program.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of the Social Studies curriculum.
- Share interests and passions with students through the after-school program.
Qualifications and Knowledge
The candidate must have:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current certification/licensure to teach Social Studies.
- An advanced degree in a related field of study.
- Knowledge of the C3 (College, Career, and Civic Life) Standards.
- Knowledge of Understanding by Design (UbD) principles.
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience:
- Teaching Social Studies at both the middle- and high- school and IB level in an international context.
- Leading and inspiring both middle- and high-school students to be informed and inspired community members and leaders.
- Organizing student projects and performance tasks.
- Documenting curriculum according to Understanding by Design (UbD) principles.
- Designing programs based on the C3 Standards.
- Collaborating in a professional setting with large and small groups of colleagues.
- Leading groups of students and faculty.
