Dr. Mack has worked as an educator for 39 years and has held several leadership positions, including the post of Director at the International School of Latvia. Prior to joining ISG, Dr. Mack was Superintendent of the Lakewood School District of Washington. Dr. Mack holds both a Master’s degree in Education and a Doctorate in the Philosophy of Educational Leadership.
Dr. Mack moved to Saudi Arabia in 2018 with his wife, who is a teacher for the American School of Dhahran. They have three children who live and work in the United States.

Jana Barnhouse
Jana began her role as assistant superintendent in 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University and master's degree in leadership from the University of Minnesota.
Throughout her 32 year career with ISG, she has held the positions of teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of human resources and assistant superintendent.

Balqees Al Ghamdi
Balqees has been with ISG for 12 years and began her role as director of human resources in 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA. She has also completed the Women Leaders Programme from INSEAD Business School’s executive education program.
Throughout her career, she has held various support positions and the role of ISG manager of human resources, and has accumulated extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of ISG’s processes and Saudi Arabia’s labor laws.

Joseph Bearns
Joseph has been with ISG for over 10 years and began his role as director of operations in 2022. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and is a licensed superintendent.
Throughout his career as an international educator and leader, he has developed an understanding of diverse educational contexts and the skills necessary to oversee the operations of complex educational institutions, including strategic planning and implementing and building strong teams

Director of Finance
Neal Mannas
Neal is the director of finance at ISG, a position he has held since 2019. He is a qualified accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, a bachelor’s degree in education, an MBA and a CPA.
He has been working in the oil services industry, finance industry and at not-for-profit schools and universities for over 22 years, and has held positions that include accounting instructor, finance instructor, head of department, financial controller and director.

Hans Ott
Director of Teaching and Learning
Hans Ott
Hans began his tenure with ISG as director of teaching and learning in 2021. He holds a master’s degree in teaching and learning, a bachelor's degree in education, mathematics and physics as well as principal and superintendent credentials.
Throughout his career in education, he has worked as a teacher, school administrator, director, assistant superintendent and school board member. He presents at various educational conferences on the topics of grading and assessment, technology integration, equity and inclusion and special education. He has also been a board member on various educational organizations and a contributor to publications on topics regarding early literacy and quality curriculum.
