Dragonfly Workshops
Over 50 BSD staff members from the primary and the senior schools
attended virtual workshops organized through Dragonfly. Over the course
of several weeks, theachers attended the following workshops: Responsive
Teaching, Differentiation in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), Developing
Independence in KS1, Developing Writing, Maximizing TA Practice and
Achieving Grade 9 in English.
Support Staff Sessions
In 2022-23, support staff professional development was
also prioritized with more than 20 sessions offered. The
topics emerged as a result of a needs analysis conducted the
previous year to determine the gaps and professional growth
needs of support staff.
Sessions were scheduled throughout the year and were
delivered by ISG staff including support staff leaders,
teachers, administrators, counselors and technology leads
across the district. Workshops included topics such as
winning at teamwork, technology tips and tricks to get
organized, communication in the workplace, mindfulness,
digital photography, content delivery, leading adult courses,
presentation skills, Google Workspace and Skyward.
