ISG Alumni Reunion in the USA

Dear Parents,

On February 3, ISG administrators were delighted to host our third alumni reunion in Houston, Texas. Thirty ISG graduates, staff and family members met for the afternoon, in a casual gathering to share past stories and current news.  It was wonderful to meet our alumni and hear about their fond memories at ISG and Saudi Arabia. The newly established ISG Alumni Association aims to create a network among our alumni and share their experiences with current and future ISG students. We know the value of this network can have a profound impact on the relationships and community it fosters. Please watch a short recap of the event here.

Our classroom spotlight this week is on our Grade 2 and Year 3 students across the district.  Please click here to see a glimpse of the learning happening in their classrooms.

I would like to inform you that re-enrollment for the 2024-25 school year will start on February 15. You should have received communication from the ISG admissions office last week. Please be sure to submit your re-enrollment decision by March 15 to ensure your child’s seat is reserved for the upcoming academic year. Here is the 2024-25 re-enrollment timeline for your reference:

  • Feb. 1 - Notification of 2024-25 re-enrollment timelines sent via email.
  • Feb. 15 - Re-enrollment begins.
  • March 15 - Re-enrollment decisions due.

Information has been shared with all our ISG students about the exciting plans we have for them during Week Without Walls. ISG is collaborating with 8BillionIdeas, an England-based business that will run the ISG Innovation Challenge at ASD, BSD, ISG Dammam and ISG Jubail. Students not participating in the travel experiences will develop their own startups, practice the art of the pitch and finally participate in a competition where one team from each school will be named the winner. Please watch this short promotional video of the ISG Innovation Challenge.

Sara Village School Updates

The Sara Village Gardening club have collected their first harvest of the season from the school's eco-garden. Giant pumpkins, potatoes and cabbages were picked and dug up by students from all year groups. Mrs. White roasted the pumpkin and potatoes for all the students to taste on Thursday afternoon. Next week the students will pick carrots, sweet potatoes and tomatoes.

I would like to remind you that ISG schools will be closed for spring break from February 22 to March 2. Classes will resume on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Best wishes,

Michael P. Mack
