ISG Jubail marked the 100th Day of School with a cheerful celebration that brought elementary students and staff together in a moment of shared laughter and community spirit. The sunny gathering on the small pitch offered a meaningful pause in the school year, giving students a chance to celebrate how far they have come while enjoying the energy that comes from learning side by side.
A special highlight of the day was a surprise visit from Zero the Hero, joined by three playful heroes wearing the numbers 1, 0 and 0 on their backs. Together, they helped lead students through singing, movement and a joyful counting activity that reflected the diversity of the ISG Jubail community. Students counted to 100 in multiple languages, including Arabic, Urdu, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Turkish, along with many other languages, shared across the crowd. Hearing so many languages spoken together created a warm reminder that every voice and every background helps shape the school’s identity.
The celebration was made even more memorable by the creativity seen across campus. Many students and staff dressed in fun and imaginative ways, with some choosing outfits inspired by what it might look like to be 100 years old, complete with gray hair, vintage clothing and playful accessories. Others wore the number 100 in clever designs, adding color and personality to the day. Students also created their own 100th Day crowns, with each crown reflecting individual style and self expression. The variety of designs added to the sense that this was a celebration where everyone could take part in their own way.
The 100th Day of School spirit continued across grade levels, as middle and high school students joined in with a rope skipping challenge. Classes worked together to complete as many sets of 100 skips as possible within five minutes, with students skipping in multiples of 10 to reach their goal. Teams were encouraged to share the skips across the group, helping students support one another and reminding them that success is often built through collaboration. The activity brought friendly energy to the day while reinforcing teamwork and encouragement.
Events like the 100th Day of School celebration matter because they honor progress and build connection across a community. They remind students and staff that learning is a journey, that effort adds up over time and that even small milestones are worth celebrating together. ISG Jubail is grateful to all who helped make the day such a bright and joyful moment for students, staff and the wider school community.
