Adventure Begins with the Duke of Edinburgh International Award at BSD

Last week, BSD launched the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award with an action packed overnight Boot Camp on campus! Forty BSD students took part, embarking on their Bronze, Silver and Gold Award journeys.

Throughout the camp, students engaged in hands-on activities including navigational skills, first aid, tent setup, food preparation and cooking. They also built teamwork, resilience and confidence as they worked together to complete each challenge. Beyond developing valuable skills, the Boot Camp offered an opportunity to make new friends and connections while embracing the spirit of adventure at the heart of the Award.

This exciting launch marked the beginning of a journey that challenges, inspires and prepares our students for life ahead one built on discovery, growth, leadership, community service, skill development and unforgettable experiences.
