American School Dhahran Hosts Back to School Event

American School Dhahran (ASD) proudly hosted its Back to School event on Sep. 6, 2025, bringing together families, students and staff from across the elementary, middle and high school divisions. This community-wide gathering marked the beginning of the 2025–26 academic year with a spirit of connection and collaboration.
This event provides parents with the opportunity to meet our dedicated teaching staff and gain valuable insight into the learning taking place at every grade level.
The day began with a warm welcome for elementary and middle school families. Parents were greeted by the ASD Principal Mr. Brent Wingers, who gave an introduction followed by a presentation outlining the curriculum and expectations for the year. Families then visited classrooms to gain a deeper understanding of the learning environment and daily routines.
For our high school families, the event included a welcome introduction from Principal Wingers, setting the tone for the classroom visits. Parents then followed their child’s daily schedule, attending sessions in each classroom. These sessions offered valuable opportunities to connect directly with teachers and gain a clearer understanding of the student experience.
The day also included an optional Week Without Walls (WOW Week) trip Q&A session, offering families a preview of the unique experiential learning opportunities planned for upper elementary, middle school and high school students outside the classroom.
Students were encouraged to attend alongside their parents to help guide them through their schedules and actively participate in the day’s events.
This all-school event reflects ASD’s ongoing commitment to strengthening school-home partnerships and building a connected, inclusive learning environment. We thank all our families and teaching staff for their participation and support and we look forward to a successful and inspiring year ahead.
