Art and Imagination Flourish at ISG Jubail First Semester Exhibition

During the first semester, ISG Jubail students explored three major art projects that developed creativity, technique and artistic confidence guided by art teachers Mrs. Shereen Ibrahim and Mrs. Maria Khan. The exhibition offered families a chance to experience the students’ growth and imagination through a variety of engaging works.
In the Line Art Project, students studied the elements of art, focusing on different types of lines such as straight, curved, zigzag, spiral, wavy and dotted. They used lines to create movement, rhythm and expression, resulting in pieces full of energy and personality.
The famous artist study centered on Wassily Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstract art who believed color, line and shape could express emotions like music. Students explored geometric shapes, combined warm and cool colors and experimented with balance, pattern and visual rhythm. Their Kandinsky-inspired creations reflected both imagination and emotional expression in vibrant ways.
For the paper collage project, students explored texture, layering and mixed media. They tore paper using their thumb and index finger, developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and pincer grip strength. Students learned to choose paper sizes to match the areas they wanted to cover, building planning and problem-solving skills while creating visually rich collages.
Families were encouraged to discuss the artwork with their children, asking questions such as how the pieces were made, which parts were most challenging or fun, what techniques were used and which sections they were most proud of. These conversations helped deepen understanding and allowed students to reflect on their creative process while further enhancing their artistic and individual expression.
After visiting the exhibition, families enjoyed the elementary concerts, celebrating the talents and creativity of ISG Jubail students. The combination of art and music created a joyful and inspiring afternoon for the school community.
ISG Jubail appreciated the time, support and encouragement of families, which helped students grow with confidence and joy. The exhibition highlighted the dedication and artistic achievements of the young learners, leaving a lasting impression on the school community.
