On September 28, ASD’s U19 Boys and Girls volleyball teams came together for a memorable ISG Jamboree, showcasing their passion, energy and competitive spirit in volleyball. The event was filled with fun and excitement as teams from across the district competed in a series of thrilling matches. Parents, friends and fellow students gathered in support, creating an electric atmosphere.
Teams displayed an impressive level of sportsmanship and athletic ability, and played with determination and camaraderie, while also maintaining a sense of respect and friendship with their opponents. The matches were a testament to ASD’s strong athletic programs.
ISG Jamborees serve as an excellent practice arena for students before they compete in larger regional and international tournaments like Saudi Arabia Inter-Kingdom Activities Conference (SAIKAC), Near East Schools Activities Conference (NESAC) and British Schools in the Middle East Games (BSME). These events allow students to gain valuable match experience, work as a team, and hone their technical skills in real-time game situations. They also provide opportunities to build resilience, practice sportsmanship and learn to adapt strategies in high-pressure environments.
We look forward to all the athletic regional and international events in 2024-25.
