American School Dhahran (ASD) and British School Dhahran (BSD) have been recognized as Common Sense Education Schools for the 2025–26 academic year.

The Common Sense School recognition is awarded to schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching students how to use technology safely, responsibly and respectfully. It acknowledges efforts to integrate digital citizenship into everyday teaching and learning, helping students develop critical thinking skills, safeguard their privacy and establish healthy online habits.

This achievement was made possible through the leadership of Ms. Maha Sousak at BSD and Mr. Brian Ham at ASD. Their dedication to fostering responsible digital practices has played a key role in equipping students with the tools they need to navigate an increasingly digital world.

The International Schools Group (ISG) is now working toward a district-wide Common Sense recognition, further reinforcing its commitment to digital literacy, student wellbeing and ethical technology use across all campuses.

ISG congratulates the ASD and BSD communities on this outstanding accomplishment and extends appreciation to Ms. Sousak at BSD and Mr. Ham at ASD for their initiative and leadership in this important work.
