ASD Holds Annual Walkathon

Today, ASD hosted its annual Walk-A-Thon to raise awareness on Best Buddies International and the ASD Custodian Drive. Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic exclusion of the 200 million people globally living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We hope that our students’ work at ASD will support Best Buddies’ mission to create more inclusive communities for individuals with IDD.

Additionally, the ASD Custodian Drive supports the dedicated custodial staff at ASD, recognizing their hard work and invaluable contributions to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the school community. This initiative serves as a gesture of appreciation for their ongoing efforts.

The Walk-A-Thon saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grade levels, who took to the track to walk or run in support of these meaningful causes. The event also helped foster a spirit of giving and community involvement among students. We are incredibly proud of each of our students who participated and showed such selfless commitment to helping others.

At ASD, we are dedicated to cultivating an environment of compassion, where students are encouraged to take action and raise awareness for causes that make a difference. Their efforts reflect our school’s commitment to compassionate action and empathy.
