ASD Honors Student-Athletes at Annual Sports Awards Event

American School Dhahran celebrated its student-athletes this week during the annual Sports Awards, bringing together families, faculty and peers to recognize a year of dedication, growth and achievement.

Athletics Director Kyran Odendaal opened the event with remarks that reflected on standout moments from the season and honored student-athletes for their leadership, performance and commitment to excellence.

This year, middle school student-athletes represented ASD on more than 10 teams, competing in volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming, table tennis, badminton, tennis, cricket and cross-country. The range of sports showcased the school’s commitment to a well-rounded athletic program.

The event concluded with the presentation of the Athlete of the Year awards, recognizing a middle school student who exemplified sportsmanship, perseverance and leadership throughout the season.

It was an event of milestones and momentum. We look forward to seeing what our Scorpions will achieve next year!
