ASD Participates in DAMMUN VI

American School Dhahran participated in the DAMMUN VI Model United Nations (MUN) conference on November 24-25, hosted by ISG Dammam. Our students enjoyed two days of lively debates and discussion about world affairs across seven different committees, returning home with four delegate performance awards.

Participating in the MUN is a popular choice among our high school students. It hones critical skills such as public speaking, research and negotiation and develops articulate and informed individuals. Students dive deep into global issues, promoting a comprehensive understanding of international relations, and the simulation cultivates teamwork and diplomatic acumen, vital for navigating real-world challenges.

MUN is a transformative experience that nurtures global perspective, instilling empathy and cultural awareness.  It prepares students for future leadership roles by fostering a nuanced understanding of global issues and the importance of cooperative problem solving.
