ASD Students Participate In SAIKAC Music Festival In Riyadh

This year's SAIKAC Music Festival was hosted by the American International School of Riyadh and was a celebration of musical excellence. Students from American and British international schools across the region came together to form three honor ensembles: a choir, band, and orchestra. Thirty-four ASD and ISG Jubail band and choir students helped deliver outstanding performances on Thursday to the students of AISR and then to the public on Friday.

The event concluded on Friday with a special performance by the Najd Choir, the first Saudi choir that sings classical acapella. During the festival, students built lasting friendships, embraced new experiences and thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of the festival.

It was a wonderful event that highlighted the power of music and we look forward to the next one!

Special thanks to Mr. Ned Fortescue who works diligently with our band students every year, and Mr. Chris Coetzee and Ms. Megan Bradley for accompanying the students on the trip!
