American School Dhahran students from the DHAMUN Club participated in the JDAMMUN II, held on Dec.12-13, at ISG Dammam. The conference provided a valuable platform for students to engage in rigorous debate, strengthen public speaking and leadership skills and collaborate with peers from a range of international schools.
Delegates took part in discussions across four committees: the General Assembly, Security Council, Crisis Committee and Human Rights Committee. Through thoughtful preparation and active participation, DHAMUN students demonstrated strong diplomatic skills and a deep understanding of global issues.
At the formal closing ceremony, ASD students were recognized with committee awards and special shoutouts, reflecting their high level of performance and commitment throughout the conference. These acknowledgments underscore the school’s dedication to global citizenship, critical thinking and student leadership beyond the classroom.
ASD extends its appreciation to DHAMUN club advisers Mrs. Montgomery and Mr. Caldwell for their guidance and support in preparing students for a successful conference experience.
