Twelve students from American School Dhahran and one British School Dhahran student participated in the fifth edition of the LFIKMUN Conference on Dec. 6–7, joining more than 450 students from 19 schools across the region. The two-day event provided a dynamic platform for students to engage in global dialogue and strengthen essential leadership skills.
Delegates represented ASD across 14 committees, debating and negotiating resolutions on complex international issues. Through formal debate, collaborative problem-solving and diplomatic discussions, students honed their abilities in critical thinking, public speaking and consensus building, skills that are central to ASD’s commitment to preparing learners for an interconnected world.
The conference concluded with a formal closing ceremony at the Eastern Province Municipality auditorium, where participants were recognized for their commitment, professionalism and contributions across committees.
ASD is proud of its student delegates for their dedication, thoughtful engagement and exemplary representation at this year’s LFIKMUN. Their participation reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to excellence in education, global citizenship and empowering students to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. The school extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Zhanna Montgomery, Ms. Donna Scatigno and Mr. Oscar Caldwell for their support and guidance of the delegation throughout the conference.
