Since October 1, British School Dhahran (BSD) has hosted its Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC), offering valuable opportunities for parents and teachers to connect, collaborate and discuss each student’s progress. The conferences, held virtually for the primary school, provided an important platform to reflect on how students have settled into the new academic year, celebrate achievements and identify next steps for growth and development.

These discussions are an essential part of BSD’s commitment to the “supportive triangle” , a collaborative approach that places the child at the center, strengthened by strong partnerships between parents and teachers. Parents also met with specialist teachers, reinforcing the school’s holistic approach to nurturing every aspect of a child’s learning experience.

In the senior school, PTCs for Years 7 and 8 were conducted using a hybrid model, allowing parents the flexibility to meet teachers either in person or online. Over the coming weeks, extended online PTC sessions for the upper year groups will continue, providing valuable opportunities to review academic progress from the first eight weeks of term and discuss strategies for continued improvement.

Through these conferences, BSD reaffirms its dedication to fostering meaningful communication between home and school, ensuring that every student is supported, challenged and inspired to achieve their full potential.
