BSD is Proud to Be a White Rose Education Champion School

We are delighted to announce that BSD’s primary division has been officially recognised as a White Rose Education Champion School. This prestigious status celebrates our school’s commitment to high-quality teaching, strong curriculum design and continuous improvement in learning and teaching.

What Does Being a White Rose Education Champion School Mean?

White Rose Education is a highly respected organisation that supports schools worldwide with research-based, mastery-focused teaching approaches, particularly in mathematics. Being named a champion school means that BSD has demonstrated excellence in implementing White Rose Education approaches and is recognised as a school that values collaboration, innovation and best practice.

As a champion school, BSD joins a global network of schools that work closely with White Rose Education to share expertise, reflect on practice and help shape future educational resources.

How Does This Benefit Our Students?

This achievement brings significant benefits to our students:

• Stronger learning experiences – Lessons are carefully structured to build deep understanding, confidence and problem-solving skills.
• High-quality teaching – Our teachers have access to expert professional development and the latest White Rose resources, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective.
• Consistency and progression – Students experience a clear learning journey where knowledge and skills build step by step.
• Preparation for future success – The mastery approach helps students think critically, reason mathematically and apply their learning in real-world contexts.

A Celebration of Our School Community

Becoming a White Rose Education Champion School is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our teachers, students and wider school community. This recognition highlights our shared commitment to excellence and our belief that every child can succeed.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing our journey of inspiring, challenging and supporting our learners every day.
