The ISG Jubail elementary community came together for a meaningful assembly centered on leadership, January’s Graduate Profile focus. Led by elementary students alongside their teachers, Mrs. Valerie Logsdon and Ms. Ann Kaufman, the assembly created a warm and welcoming space where students’ voices guided the learning and set the tone for reflection and connection.

The assembly opened with a video in which students shared what leadership means to them and spoke about leaders who inspire them in their daily lives. Through thoughtful words and personal examples, students highlighted qualities such as kindness, responsibility and standing up for others. The video invited the audience to see leadership as something practiced through everyday actions rather than titles or positions.

Students then took the stage to perform short skits that explored different leadership moments. After each skit, the audience was given time to reflect and discuss whether the characters demonstrated positive leadership choices. These conversations encouraged students to think deeply about decision making, empathy and accountability while learning from one another in a supportive environment.

The assembly concluded with a joyful karaoke moment as the school sang together about speaking up, taking action and being there for one another. Following the assembly, students returned to their classrooms to write letters to leaders in their lives, choosing individuals who have made a meaningful impact on them. This final activity allowed students to express gratitude and recognize leadership within their own communities.

By planning and guiding the experience, elementary students strengthened their voices and deepened their understanding of what it means to lead with integrity and compassion.
