Celebrating Unity and Pride on Saudi National Day at American School Dhahran

This week, American School Dhahran’s community came together to celebrate the 95th Saudi National Day with joy and pride. The campus was alive with a warm, festive atmosphere as students, faculty and staff embraced the significance of this special day.

Our students had the unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of Saudi culture through a variety of engaging activities. A traditional tent was set up on campus, where students explored the national day theme, “Pride In Our Nature.” They learned about the rich heritage and natural beauty that define Saudi Arabia, gaining a greater appreciation for the country we are honored to call our host.

The celebration culminated with the traditional ‘Ardha’ sword dance, a powerful cultural performance that captivated everyone present. Many students, alongside faculty and staff, joined in the dance, strengthening the sense of community and shared respect for Saudi traditions.

Seeing our diverse school community come together to honor Saudi Arabia’s heritage was truly inspiring. We look forward to continuing this tradition of cultural learning and celebration for many years to come at American School Dhahran.
