Exploring Electricity and Circuits Sparks Curiosity in BSD’s KS2 Students
SHARE
Key Stage 2 at British School Dhahran (BSD) has been buzzing with excitement as students explored the fascinating world of electricity and circuits. Through engaging, hands-on investigations, our students learned how electrical circuits work and how to identify and use key components such as cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers.
By experimenting with different circuit designs, students discovered how changing the number of cells or components affects brightness, volume and overall performance. They also learned to use scientific symbols to draw and interpret circuit diagrams, just like real engineers.
Our young scientists at British School Dhahran developed strong enquiry skills by planning fair tests, making predictions, recording results and explaining their findings using accurate scientific vocabulary. Alongside this, they explored how electricity is used safely in everyday life, making meaningful links between classroom learning and real-world applications.
Curiosity was truly switched on across Key Stage 2, with teamwork, discussion and problem-solving energising every lesson at BSD.
