Future Leaders in Action: ASD Students Shine at MiniMUN Conference

On Nov. 8, 2025, the Dhahran Model United Nations (MUN) Club hosted more than 80 students from American School Dhahran (ASD) and British School Dhahran (BSD) for the annual MiniMUN conference. The event brought together young delegates eager to engage in meaningful discussion and global problem solving.

Throughout the day, students debated a range of pressing international issues while honing their skills in research, negotiation and public speaking. The conference provided a valuable platform for collaboration, critical thinking and leadership as participants worked to find solutions to complex global challenges.

Two ASD middle school students received honorable mention awards for their outstanding performance in the United Nations Human Rights Council and the United Nations Security Council, recognizing their exceptional diplomacy and engagement throughout the conference.

Additionally, nine ASD high school students received honorable mentions for their performances in the United Nations Human Rights Council, United Nations Security Council, General Assembly and the World Health Organization, a testament to their work, confidence and commitment to global dialogue. 

It was inspiring to witness such enthusiasm, teamwork and passion for international dialogue among our students. Their professionalism and commitment to respectful debate reflect the values of global citizenship within our school community.
