International Day at ISG Jubail is a beloved annual tradition and this year’s celebration once again brought the community together in a powerful way. Students and staff arrived dressed in traditional clothing, country sports jerseys and outfits that reflected their identities with pride. Across campus, the day felt vibrant and meaningful, with every hallway and gathering space filled with color, culture and the shared joy of belonging.
The celebration began with an assembly where the Jaguar mascot made a spirited appearance and set the tone for the day. A group of students welcomed the audience in their home languages, filling the space with greetings from around the world and reminding everyone how many cultures are represented within the ISG Jubail community. Cultural dances followed on stage, bringing energy, tradition and storytelling into the heart of the assembly as students shared movement and music that connected generations and regions.
From there, the community moved into one of the most memorable moments of the day, the country parade. Students walked proudly with others from their home countries, waving flags, smiling for friends and celebrating the feeling of being seen. Watching each group move together was a beautiful reminder that diversity at ISG Jubail is lived and felt daily, and that every student’s background adds something meaningful to the larger story of the school. The parade ended with a whole-school photo, capturing the full range of nationalities and cultures that make the campus feel like a true global community.
After the photo, middle and high school students continued the celebration through continent-based activities in classrooms. Students signed up for experiences that invited creativity, play and connection, including frisbee, kite making, shadow puppet making, dodgeball, cricket, board games and Pelotica de goma. The variety created space for students to try something new, learn from one another and enjoy the day in a relaxed way while still honoring the purpose behind it.
The afternoon concluded with a talent show that brought the community together once again. With three judges and a lively audience, students took the stage to share performances that reflected both their cultural roots and their individual talents. Students sang in their native languages, performed on drums, bass, guitar and saxophone and shared cultural dances that filled the room with pride. Every performance carried its own story and the audience responded with warmth, encouragement and genuine appreciation.
International Day continues to be one of the most meaningful events of the year at ISG Jubail because it strengthens what matters most: community. It is a day where students feel proud of where they come from, staff feel connected to the families they serve and everyone is reminded that differences are something to celebrate together. Through music, language, movement and shared experiences, the ISG Jubail community once again came together in a way that felt joyful, welcoming and deeply human.
