ISG Jubail recently held its first School Council meeting of the year, bringing together a group of students, parents, teachers and school leaders for a meaningful exchange of ideas. The council serves as a bridge between the school and the wider community, creating a space where voices from every part of ISG Jubail can connect and contribute.
The meeting included principal Dr. Jamie Martin, assistant principal Sanjeev Jangra, several teachers, three student representatives and parent members who shared thoughts and feedback on school life. The discussion centered on upcoming initiatives, community engagement and ways to strengthen collaboration between home and school.
One student said: “Ms. Jamie and Mr. Jangra were extremely open to feedback throughout the process. They consistently encouraged parents, students and teachers to share their thoughts and ideas, actively asking for suggestions to make improvements. Their willingness to listen and adapt created a very positive and collaborative environment.”
Participants spoke openly about new ideas, questions and areas for growth. Highlights included conversations about expanding sports opportunities, improving access to online resources and adding more school traditions and events that bring the community together. Each topic reflected the council’s shared commitment to supporting a positive, engaging environment for all students.
ISG Jubail thrives when families, students and staff work side by side. With shared goals and open communication, the council will continue to play an important role in shaping the learning experience and strengthening the bonds within the ISG Jubail community.
