ISG Jubail Celebrates Champions of Calculation at MathCounts

ISG Jubail proudly celebrates a memorable achievement at the ISG District MathCounts Competition, where students came together with focus, determination and a shared love of problem solving. A total of 36 students participated, with 12 students each from ISG Jubail, ASD and ISG Dammam. Through steady effort and teamwork, ISG Jubail earned the title of District MathCounts Champions with a final score of 43.5 points, reflecting months of preparation and a strong sense of support among teammates who encouraged one another throughout the day.

The competition included three written rounds: Sprint, Target and Team. Based on the combined results from the Sprint and Target rounds, students received their individual MathCounts rankings. Two ISG Jubail middle school students stood out with exceptional performances, placing first and second overall. Their confidence and thoughtful approach carried into the Countdown Round, where they continued to represent the school with pride by earning second and third place finishes. These moments reflected their ability to stay calm, think clearly and learn from each question as it came.

Collaboration played an important role throughout the day as well. In the Team Round, ISG Jubail students worked closely together, sharing ideas and building solutions with care and respect. Their teamwork earned them first place in the round, and the team was awarded the ISG MathCounts School Competition Champion Trophy for their outstanding collective performance. With this success, ISG Jubail students qualified to advance to the Chapter Level, pending confirmation from the MathCounts organization.

This achievement was supported by many hands and hearts. A sincere thank you goes to the student volunteers who offered their time and encouragement throughout the competition. Thank you to Mrs. Preetha Nataraj, MathCounts coach, whose guidance, preparation and belief in her students helped create a positive and motivating experience. ISG Jubail congratulates all of our Mathletes for their dedication and the way they represented the school community, and we look forward to cheering them on as they continue their MathCounts journey.
