Nobel Prize Winner Visit

We were honored to host Dr. Morten Meldal, the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry, as a guest speaker at ISG. Dr. Meldal was awarded this prestigious accolade for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry.  He spoke to over 600 ISG high school and senior students on the topic of "Motivation in Science Career Choices."

Dr. Meldal emphasized the importance of dedication and having courage when pursuing one’s passion, which strongly resonated with our students.  His talk was followed by a Q&A session, autographs and pictures.
