The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) gathered for its February meeting at ISG Jubail with a warm sense of connection and shared purpose. Parents, faculty and staff began the afternoon by introducing themselves, setting a welcoming tone that reflected the strength of the school community. As conversations unfolded, the meeting centered on open communication, thoughtful updates and the shared belief that when families and schools stay connected, students benefit in meaningful ways.

The PTG meeting included several campus updates, including progress on facilities. Families were pleased to hear that the flooring for one of the school courts is now ready, a step forward that supports student activities and daily learning. The group also heard from the Eco Club, which continues to lead campus efforts tied to ISG Jubail’s Eco-School journey. Students are being encouraged to bring reusable water bottles each day, and new waste sorting and composting initiatives have been launched to build more sustainable habits across campus. Organic waste collection is currently taking place in the multipurpose room, with plans to expand in the future. Eco Club members have also been supporting students during lunch and break times and two composting stations have been installed.

Families also discussed upcoming learning experiences, including Week Without Walls trips and travel opportunities connected to international learning in Bahrain and Rome.

The PTG shared excitement for the Parent Engagement Program session scheduled for April 22, where students will lead stations and share their learning experiences with families. The event will reflect learning across the school in ways that go beyond core academics, creating space for students to speak with confidence about their growth and interests.

The meeting also revisited the school’s recent workshop on resilient parenting, held Monday, January 26, which reflected a shared belief that when families and schools work together, students feel supported, confident and ready to thrive.

To support continued communication, Mr. Sanjeev Jangra also provided a helpful overview of grading across elementary, middle and high school, including a brief explanation of the IB grading system and families were reminded of the value of Parent Teacher Conferences as an opportunity to connect, share insights and support each child’s academic and personal growth.
