Pottery Social at ISG Jubail Highlights the Joy of Slowing Down Together
SHARE
The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) at ISG Jubail welcomed staff and families for a Pottery Social that offered something simple and deeply appreciated: time to slow down together. In a school year filled with busy schedules, responsibilities and constant movement, the evening created space for connection, conversation and creativity in a calm and welcoming setting.
As participants gathered around the pottery tables, the focus shifted away from routines and toward the kind of shared experience that brings a community closer. Families and staff shaped clay side by side, exchanged stories and laughter and enjoyed the quiet satisfaction that comes from making something with your hands. For many, the process felt less like an activity and more like a moment of recharging, a chance to pause, sit back and unwind.
There was something uniquely grounding about the experience. Working with clay invited participants to be present, connecting the mind and body through a creative process that felt almost therapeutic. Several families shared that they could have stayed for hours, continuing to create and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the evening. The Pottery Social reminded everyone that community is strengthened through shared moments, especially the ones that allow us to breathe, reflect and simply enjoy being together.
ISG Jubail extends sincere thanks to the Parent Teacher Group (PTG) for organizing this meaningful gathering and for continuing to create opportunities that bring our school community together in such thoughtful and creative ways.
