SAIKAC U16 Football Tournament: Strong Performances and a Fantastic Girls’ Silver Finish

On 29-30 January SAIKAC U16 football tournament was a proud showcase of talent, determination and depth across our sports programme, with BSD entering two boys’ teams and one girls’ team into the competition.

Both boys’ teams delivered strong performances throughout the tournament, recording impressive wins alongside narrow losses. Their matches highlighted not only skill and teamwork, but also the depth of players within the school, with students stepping up confidently and competing at a high-level against strong opposition.

The standout achievement of the tournament came from the Girls A team, who finished 2nd place in the championship—an outstanding result. This success is made even more impressive by the fact that several U14 players played up an age group to form the team, demonstrating resilience, maturity and a fantastic competitive spirit.

Overall, the tournament was a valuable experience for all our athletes, offering opportunities for growth, teamwork and school pride. We are incredibly proud of every student who represented BSD with commitment and sportsmanship at U16 SAIKAC.
