Saudi Founding Day is always a meaningful day at ISG Jubail, bringing students together to celebrate the history, traditions and pride of Saudi Arabia. On campus, the day is full of excitement, but it is also grounded in purpose. Every activity is designed to help students connect with culture through learning, conversation and shared experiences.
Throughout the day, each school section hosted tents filled with hands-on activities that invited students to explore Saudi heritage in different ways. As students moved from tent to tent, the campus felt full of curiosity and community, with children sharing what they learned, asking questions and enjoying the chance to experience traditions up close.
One tent introduced students to traditional weaving, giving them an opportunity to learn about patterns, technique and the care that goes into creating something by hand. Another tent drew students in with the process of bread making, where they learned how a familiar staple is prepared and why it holds such an important place in everyday life and culture. These moments helped students understand that traditions are often built through simple practices that bring people together.
A highlight for many students was the special visit from a falcon and a camel. The experience created a sense of excitement across campus and offered students a memorable connection to symbols that hold a strong place in Saudi heritage. Students gathered with wide-eyed interest, taking in the moment and learning more about the importance of these animals in the Kingdom’s story.
Another tent welcomed students into the tradition of henna, where they learned about its role in celebrations and cultural gatherings. The space quickly became a favorite as students admired the designs and enjoyed the atmosphere of a tradition that is shared across generations.
The celebration also brought the entire school together for a special assembly. Students performed the Saudi national anthem using recorders and drums, with the full school joining in to sing. It was a powerful moment of unity, filling the space with pride and reminding everyone how meaningful it is when students lead in ways that bring a community together.
After the anthem, a Saudi band delivered a beautiful performance as students and staff gathered to listen. The music added to the sense of connection across campus, creating a shared experience that felt both joyful and reflective.
Saudi Founding Day at ISG Jubail was a reminder that celebrations can be both fun and meaningful. Through music, hands-on learning and moments of togetherness, students experienced Saudi heritage in a way that will stay with them long after the day ends.
