A Season of Song at the ISG Jubail Upper Elementary Winter Concert
SHARE
The ISG Jubail community gathered for a heartwarming afternoon as upper elementary students, alongside Mrs. Melek Demir, presented their Winter Concert. Families, classmates and staff filled the space with encouragement that carried throughout each performance.
The concert opened with a lively mix of singing, ukulele pieces and thoughtful selections that highlighted developing musical confidence. Energetic moments blended with calm, reflective pieces, giving students a chance to share both their enthusiasm and growing skill. Ukulele chords C, F and G added a warm touch to familiar melodies and brought smiles across the audience.
The program grew even more festive as upper elementary students joined together for Jingle Bells. Ukuleles blended with alto and bass recorders, creating a cheerful sound that welcomed families into the spirit of the season. A violin duet supported by alto recorders, added a special highlight that filled the room with excitement and pride.
The next part of the concert featured expressive recorder and bell selections. Gentle pieces invited moments of calm, while playful melodies added lighthearted energy. Seasonal favorites brought a sense of celebration as students performed with focus and joy. A reflective piece titled ‘Why Music’ combined singing, spoken word and soprano recorder to share the meaning behind their musical journey.
The space was transformed for the concert with winter-themed balloons and decorations and the art exhibition filled the walls with students’ creativity and spirit. Families could feel the energy as if the artwork itself was performing and the room glowed with the vibrant presence of student expression, adding to the warmth and excitement of the afternoon.
The afternoon concluded with a shared finale set to Carol of the Bells. A coordinated light performance created a warm moment of winter magic and brought the entire ISG Jubail community together.
The concert reflected the spirit of ISG Jubail, where students support one another, explore creativity and welcome families into meaningful experiences that strengthen the school community.
Thank you to Mrs. Melek Demir, the elementary specialist educators and all staff for making the afternoon so memorable.
