Spreading Positivity Across Our Community at ISG Dammam
SHARE
Even while learning apart, students at ISG Dammam continue to find thoughtful ways to support one another. Members of the Superintendent Student Advisory Council (SSAC) recently introduced a creative initiative designed to spread encouragement throughout the school community: a Virtual Happiness Jar.
The idea was developed by SSAC students as a way to bring positivity to their peers during this period of virtual learning. Through a simple online form shared in advisory classes, students were invited to contribute kind thoughts, uplifting quotes, words of encouragement and messages of support for fellow students. Each submission becomes part of a growing collection of positivity that reflects the caring spirit of our school community.
Once the messages are collected, they will be placed into a Virtual Happiness Jar that students can access anytime. With just one click, students will be able to “pull” a message from the jar and read a note filled with encouragement, kindness or affirmation written by another member of their community. It is a small moment that can brighten a day, lift someone’s mood, and remind students that they are supported by those around them.
Advisory classes played an important role in bringing this project to life as students took time to share thoughtful messages for one another. Teachers were also invited to participate by adding their own notes of encouragement, helping strengthen the sense of connection that defines ISG Dammam.
This initiative is a wonderful example of student leadership in action. Through creativity, empathy and a genuine desire to uplift others, the SSAC students have created a meaningful way for our community to stay connected and continue supporting one another no matter where learning takes place.
