British School Dhahran was thrilled to welcome Olympic Gold Medalist Adam Peaty, his former training partner and Managing Director, Ed Baxter and the AP Race team to the Dhahran campus for a surprise visit on Wednesday, September 4, during the Swim Squad tryouts.
Students, divided into groups, had the chance to demonstrate their skills in the four basic strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
This exciting collaboration presents an incredible opportunity for our students at ISG to engage with world-class athletes. Adam Peaty and his team provided valuable insights into the importance of discipline, technique and dedication in the sport. The experience was truly inspirational for both students and staff as it underscored the value of perseverance and passion in achieving success. Everyone was also thrilled to see Adam’s gold medals first hand!
We are eager to see the lasting impact this visit will have on our aspiring swimming and the broader ISG community. The knowledge and motivation gained from engaging with such accomplished athletes will undoubtedly inspire our students to continue their own athletic journeys.
