On January 8, ISG Dammam’s debate club proudly presented Season 3 of Voice for the Right Choice, a student-centered platform that empowers learners to speak with confidence and listen with intention while thinking critically about the world around them. This season places a strong emphasis on wellness and wellbeing, reminding our school community that thoughtful expression and emotional awareness play an important role in personal growth and collective understanding.

Guided by Ms. Nadia Iqbal, students are learning that responsible citizenship begins with responsive learning. Through guided preparation and structured debate, participants are encouraged to question assumptions, develop empathy and support their ideas with evidence. The experience helped students become more mindful communicators who can express their views clearly while respecting differing perspectives.

Season 3 gave students the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about issues that influence daily life and shape future choices. The debates explored the impact of video games on behavior and examined whether standardized testing continues to serve learners effectively. Students also discussed the legal driving age and reflected on the practical value of math compared to science beyond the classroom.

Additional topics encouraged reflection on social media and its influence on human interaction, as well as the role of dress codes in school culture. Learners also considered the use of mobile devices in schools and examined how technology affects focus and learning. These discussions helped students connect academic thinking with real-world experiences.

The season also consisted of debates on educational priorities, including the place of STEM subjects alongside the humanities and the arts. Students additionally explored questions surrounding civic responsibility, such as voting age expectations, and examined the evolving presence of artificial intelligence in schools and workplaces.

Through each discussion, students strengthened critical thinking skills and grew in confidence as respectful contributors to meaningful dialogue.
