Welcome Back to School – A Wonderful Start at British School Dhahran

British School Dhahran has officially launched the new academic year, and what a fantastic start it has been! The campus is vibrant with the enthusiasm and positivity of our students, staff and families.

Students at BSD have returned to school with evident enthusiasm, expressing their fondness for their teachers and classmates. Following the summer break, they are filled with anticipation and a desire to engage in new learning experiences as they embark on this academic journey.

“The first day back was exciting! I loved seeing my friends again and exploring my new classroom,” shared one of our enthusiastic primary students.

“Everyone was so friendly and welcoming; it made me feel like I belonged here. I’m looking forward to all the new things we’ll learn this year and all the fun moments ahead,” said a newly enrolled student.

The atmosphere across the campus was filled with joy and anticipation. Guided tours helped our younger learners settle into their new classrooms, while older students quickly got back into the rhythm of school life, reuniting with friends and teachers alike.

For our senior students, this term marks a significant emotional milestone. One student summed it up perfectly:

“It’s the final year, pedal to the metal. It’s a big jumble of feelings, nervousness, excitement, pride and I cannot wait to graduate!”

These words reflect the energy and emotions of our senior students as they look forward to the future, supported by dedicated staff and surrounded by a close-knit school community.

Reflecting on the start of the term, Mr. David Bolton, Principal of British School Dhahran, said:

“It was a fabulous start to the school year, with so many smiling faces showing enthusiasm for the new academic year. New classes, new friends, new ideas, and new dreams; with such positivity, we look forward to another amazing year at BSD.”

This week also marks a time of celebration and renewed purpose across the school. As Assistant Principal for Senior School Rachel Cannon puts it:

“Together, we celebrate our excellent results, renew our purpose and create a sense of belonging for all our students.”

The first week is just the beginning of what promises to be an inspiring and rewarding year at BSD. With engaging new learning opportunities, a strong focus on student welIbeing, and the incredible spirit of our school community, we look forward to the many milestones ahead.

Welcome back to our returning families! We’re excited to greet our new families. Here's to a year of curiosity, growth and success!
