The Eid Appreciation Event, co-hosted by American School Dhahran’s Compassion Action Club alongside partner organizations including the Parent Teacher Group, Best Buddies, Helping Hands and Habitat for Humanity, brought together students and staff members for a meaningful celebration of gratitude and community spirit on Saturday, May 16.
Held on ASD’s campus, the festive event honored the school’s custodial staff for their dedication and tireless efforts in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the entire school community.
More than 70 custodians were recognized during the event and enjoyed a catered lunch along with special giveaways thoughtfully prepared by ASD students. The event reflected the school’s commitment to compassion, service and appreciation, while creating an opportunity for students to express sincere gratitude through acts of kindness and hospitality.
The custodial team warmly received the celebration, deeply appreciating the students’ efforts and meaningful gestures. Through collaborative service initiatives such as this event, ASD continues to support a culture of empathy, leadership and community engagement across all grade levels and student organizations.
Special thanks to Ms. Rasha Al Nasr, Ms. Kat Oefelein and Mr. Richard Smith for organizing the event and for their continued support and guidance of ASD students as they lead impactful community initiatives that embody the school’s core values.
