Students in American School Dhahran’s IB Global Politics class welcomed U.S. Consul General in Dhahran James Sindle for an engaging in-class interview that connected academic learning with real world diplomacy and international relations.
During the session, students explored the role of the U.S. Consulate in strengthening Saudi-U.S. relations while applying their course content knowledge to current regional case studies. The discussion provided students with valuable insight into diplomacy, global cooperation and the complexities of international affairs.
Throughout the visit, students demonstrated high levels of interest and engagement, asking thoughtful questions and participating in meaningful dialogue about political systems, foreign policy and regional partnerships. The interactive experience encouraged students to think critically, connect classroom concepts to contemporary global issues and consider future pathways in public service and diplomacy.
ASD extends its heartfelt thanks to Consul General Sindle for his time, transparency and willingness to share his experiences with students. His visit served as both an educational opportunity and an inspiration to ASD’s aspiring future diplomats and global leaders.
