ASD National Honor Society Kicks Off a Year of Service

American School of Dhahran’s National Honor Society (NHS) is off to a strong start following a successful NHS Service Night, bringing members together to begin planning a year of meaningful service and community impact.
During the evening, NHS members collaborated to map out their community service plans for the school year. The energy and engagement throughout the evening were especially encouraging, with veteran members taking the lead in welcoming, guiding and mentoring new members. Their leadership helped create a supportive environment where students could learn from one another and begin thinking about how they can make a difference beyond the school community.
The work of the NHS is grounded in four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership and character. Service Night brought several of these pillars to life, as students demonstrated leadership through mentorship, worked collaboratively and began putting their commitment to service into action.
For new members, the evening was an opportunity to learn what it means to be part of the NHS. For returning members, it was a chance to step into leadership and help shape the direction of the chapter. Together, students are building a culture where service is not simply an activity, but an ongoing commitment to making a positive contribution to their community.
With such a strong start to the year, ASD's NHS members are looking forward to putting their plans into action and seeing the impact their collective efforts can make.
We look forward to following their work throughout the year and celebrating the many ways our NHS students live out the values of scholarship, service, leadership and character.
