ASD Supports Students in Transition to Middle School

This week, American School Dhahran continued its commitment to supporting students through key academic transitions, as elementary students took part in a series of activities designed to prepare them for the move to middle school.

The experience began with guided campus tours led by current middle school students, offering younger learners a firsthand look at their next learning environment. The peer led approach provided practical insight while encouraging connection and easing uncertainty, as elementary students engaged directly with those who recently navigated the same transition.

The program continued with a dedicated orientation session for students and parents, led by the middle school assistant principal Ms. Tracy Bosch and middle school counselor Ms. Keywana Stephens. The session outlined academic expectations, daily routines and the range of support systems in place to ensure student success. It also provided an opportunity to address questions and reinforce a sense of readiness for the year ahead.
