ASD volleyball teams took to their home courts for the Volleyball Jamboree, showcasing their skills, determination and sportsmanship across the U16 and U19 boys’ and girls’ divisions.

The U16 boys, coached by Antonette Briones and Chona Panuela, won nearly all their matches while identifying areas for improvement, including passing, serving accuracy and on-court communication. Meanwhile, the U16 girls, coached by Megan Curtino, Faye Paguio and Heather Swendsen, fielded three teams for their first time playing together. The girls demonstrated impressive serving accuracy, encouraged one another throughout their matches and gained valuable experience building team chemistry.

In the U19 girls’ division, coached by Celeste Guerrero and Ashlie Jensen, the A team finished undefeated, while the B team fought hard through several close games. The teams also enjoyed playing on their home courts with strong support from the ASD community.

The U19 boys, coached by Wyatt Franz and Kat Oefelein, also delivered strong performances. The A team finished with a perfect 3–0 record, including an exciting three-set victory over ISG Dammam A, while the B team finished 2–1 after two closely contested sets against the same opponent.

Beyond the results, the jamboree provided an opportunity for players to strengthen their skills, build team chemistry and learn from every match. With continued practice, positive attitudes and a commitment to improvement, ASD’s volleyball teams look forward to building on their progress throughout the season.
