ASD Welcomes New Students for the 2026-27 School Year

A new school year brings new faces, new opportunities and for some students, an entirely new school community. At American School Dhahran (ASD), our New Student Orientation gave students and families the opportunity to get familiar with the campus, meet key members of the school community and start the year feeling confident and prepared.
The orientation began with a presentation in the canteen, where new students received important information about life at ASD and what to expect during the year ahead. Students then toured the school and had the opportunity to meet and speak with principals, assistant principals and representatives from different District departments.
A Student-Led Welcome
For our new high school students, the orientation included a special student-led tour. Rather than being guided by teachers, students were welcomed by current ASD students who showed them around campus, shared their experiences and helped them get a feel for their new school.
New high school students also had their photographs taken for their student ID cards, helping them get one of those important first-day details taken care of before the school year begins.
Orientation is an important first step in helping new students feel a sense of belonging at ASD. We are delighted to welcome our newest Scorpions and look forward to seeing them become an active part of our community throughout the 2026–27 school year.
