BSD U11 BSME Awards Evening Celebrates Sporting Success, Character and Growth

BSD recently hosted its U11 BSME Awards Evening, a special occasion celebrating the achievements, experiences and personal growth of students who represented the school during a memorable week of competition in Abu Dhabi.

Through thoughtful student-led reflections, families were taken on a journey through the tournament, revisiting the excitement of the opening ceremony, the challenges faced, sporting successes achieved and the lasting friendships formed along the way.

A highlight of the evening was the involvement of former BSME athletes, older siblings and student role models who continue to represent BSD in SAIKAC competitions. Returning to present awards to share their own sporting experiences, they offered valuable insights into resilience, leadership, perseverance and the importance of learning from both successes and setbacks.

The evening concluded with the presentation of Character Strength Ribbons and Sports Awards, recognising students who consistently demonstrated the values of BSD both on and off the field.

More than a celebration of results, the event highlighted the enduring impact of sport in developing confidence, character, teamwork and lifelong friendships, reinforcing the spirit of the BSD Lions community and the belief that the lessons learned through sport extend far beyond the competition itself.
