The U19 Volleyball Jamboree brought ISG Jubail teams together for a day of friendly games, shared encouragement and a celebration of the team spirit that makes school sport so meaningful. With both boys and girls taking to the court, the event gave student-athletes an opportunity to connect with players across teams and enjoy the game together.
The Jamboree featured two girls’ teams and two boys’ teams, with some U16 students joining the U19 lineups. Playing alongside older teammates gave younger athletes a chance to gain experience in a new setting while contributing their energy and skills to the group. Across the games, players worked to communicate, support one another and respond positively to the challenges that came their way.
As an all-ISG event, the Jamboree also created opportunities for students to build connections within the wider school community. Friendly competition gave each team space to test their skills while learning from one another. Encouragement between teammates and respect for opponents helped keep the focus on participation, growth and enjoyment of the sport.
One U19 girls’ team athlete reflected on the experience and the connection she felt with her teammates. “The Jamboree went so well. I was actually playing with the rest of U16, and we brought so much energy to the court. What I’m most proud of is how well we communicated and connected as a team. Even when we faced tough moments, we kept encouraging one another and persevered together.”
Her reflection captured the spirit of the day, where strong communication and shared effort mattered just as much as the results. For younger players joining U19 teams, the experience was also a valuable chance to learn from different teammates and grow in confidence on the court.
