Developing Ideas Worth Sharing as ISG Dammam Prepares for TEDx

Preparations are underway for the third edition of TEDx ISG Dammam Youth, as students work toward sharing their ideas and personal stories on stage. This year’s theme, The Inner Compass: Navigating Identity, Purpose and Change, encourages young speakers to reflect on who they are, what matters to them and how their experiences shape their perspectives.
Since the all-speakers meeting in August, students have been working with organizer and student trainer Ms. Nadia Iqbal to develop their ideas and prepare their talks. Training sessions take place every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during recess and after school in the auditorium, where students dedicate time to refining their messages and building confidence in their delivery.
Preparing for a TEDx talk involves more than writing a speech. Students are learning to communicate their ideas with clarity, connect with their audience and take ownership of the stories they want to share. Through this process, they are developing skills that extend beyond the stage, gaining confidence in expressing their perspectives and learning to approach their ideas with greater purpose.
Training will continue leading up to the main event on Nov. 30, the students are steadily preparing for the opportunity to share their voices with the ISG Dammam community.
The event is led by Ms. Nadia Iqbal and Co-organizers Ms. Princita Luy and Ms. Betsey Hawkins, whose guidance supports students throughout their preparation. As the speakers continue developing their talks, the community looks forward to hearing the ideas and experiences they will bring to this year’s TEDx stage.
