ISG Jubail welcomed elementary families to campus for Back-to-School Night, giving parents an opportunity to step into their children’s classrooms, meet their teachers and experience a little of what school life looks like each day.
The evening began in the multi-purpose room, where principal Kristin Kappelman and assistant principal Sanjeev Jangra introduced themselves and warmly welcomed families to the new school year. Families received helpful information about after-school activities, communication methods and other resources designed to keep them connected with the school community throughout the year.
As families made their way across campus, the school came alive with conversation and excitement. Classrooms became spaces for families to connect with teachers, learn more about their children’s learning experiences and get a closer look at the environments where students spend their days.
Parents were invited to experience the classroom through their children’s eyes. In some rooms, they completed mini assignments and participated in hands-on activities. In others, the experience was simply about sitting in the classroom, meeting the teacher and getting a feel for the space their children know so well.
The evening also brought families together with the elementary specialist team in the library. Teachers representing Arabic, music and physical education, along with the school librarians, were available to meet families and share more about the experiences students have beyond their homeroom classrooms.
Back-to-School Night created a welcoming space for families to ask questions, make connections and become more familiar with the people and places that will shape their children’s school year.
With classrooms open and families engaged across campus, the evening reflected the strong partnership between home and school that is an important part of the ISG Jubail community.
