Learning Through Play at the ISG Jubail Nursery Rhymes Olympics

Lower elementary students at ISG Jubail recently took part in the Nursery Rhymes Olympics, an engaging event organized by their teachers with support from parents who were excited to attend and help make the day possible.
Before the activities began, students came together to sing nursery rhymes, creating a cheerful start to the day and bringing everyone together before moving into the different activities.
The multi-purpose room was transformed into an activity space where students moved through different centers, with each station offering a new game inspired by nursery rhymes. Students worked their way through activities such as musical chairs, an egg drop challenge, moving water from one cup to another and searching for hidden items.
While the activities brought plenty of energy to the room, there was meaningful learning happening throughout the experience. Students were developing coordination as they moved, reached, balanced and carefully completed each challenge. They also had opportunities to practice listening, problem-solving and following instructions as they worked through the different stations.
The Nursery Rhymes Olympics gave students a chance to learn in a way that felt playful and engaging. Each activity presented a small challenge that encouraged students to think about what they were doing and try different approaches. Whether they were carefully transferring water or searching for a hidden object, students were learning through hands-on experiences.
Having parents there added another special layer to the event. Families joined the celebration, supported the activities and helped create a welcoming environment for the students. Their involvement helped bring the school community together and made the day feel like a shared experience.
At the end of the day, students were celebrated with medals to recognize their participation and effort throughout the Nursery Rhymes Olympics. Proudly receiving their medals gave the young learners a special way to finish a day filled with learning, play and plenty of enthusiasm.
We are grateful to our teachers for organizing such a thoughtful experience and to the parents who attended and supported the event. Their time, enthusiasm and willingness to be part of the day helped make the Nursery Rhymes Olympics a memorable experience for our young learners.
