Young Entrepreneurs in Action At ISG Dammam’s EconFair

Entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation took center stage at ISG Dammam’s EconFair on May 20-21 where students will showcase a variety of businesses they have carefully planned, developed and prepared themselves.

The EconFair is the exciting culmination of students’ entrepreneurial journey that began with their Shark Tank-style business presentations. Earlier in the project, students pitched their original business ideas to a panel of judges, presenting detailed plans, explaining their products and services and demonstrating the problem-solving, creativity, and strategic thinking behind their concepts. Following those presentations, students continued developing their ideas into real business experiences that will now come to life during the fair.

Throughout the process, students have gained valuable hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, budgeting, product development, teamwork, communication and customer service. By applying classroom learning to real-world business scenarios, students have had the opportunity to strengthen entrepreneurial and leadership skills while learning what it takes to create and operate a successful business.

During the EconFair, visitors will have the opportunity to explore student-run booths featuring a variety of products and services, including food items, games and creative experiences. From shaved ice and brookies to arcade activities and beauty services, each booth reflects the students’ creativity, planning and hard work.

The event is not only a celebration of student innovation, but also an opportunity for the school community to support and encourage our young entrepreneurs as they put their ideas into action. Students have demonstrated impressive dedication throughout every stage of the project, from initial brainstorming and pitching to preparing their final businesses for the fair.
