On September 3, ISG Jubail held its first Parent Teacher Group meeting of the year, bringing together families and staff to strengthen connections and share ideas for the months ahead. The gathering began with cheerful conversations as parents and teachers caught up and reconnected, filling the room with lively energy.

Once everyone was seated, PTG president Mrs. Inge opened the meeting by introducing herself and welcoming Principal Jamie Martin. In her opening remarks, Principal Jamie Martin shared, “The moment I walked through ISG Jubail doors, I received a warm welcome from parents, staff, faculty and students.” She added, “Our goal is to ensure that anybody who walks through the front doors feels welcomed, respected and included.” Her words set a positive and inviting tone for the meeting.

Assistant Principal Sanjeev Jangra also introduced himself and shared the same message of welcoming those in the Jubail community, followed by Superintendent Rhonda Norris, who expressed her appreciation for the strong partnership between families and the school. Their presence emphasized the value of teamwork in creating a supportive learning community.

Afterward, parents had the chance to introduce themselves, strengthening the sense of belonging that is at the heart of the PTG. The group then shared an overview of its role and read the mission statement, underscoring the importance of collaboration between home and school.

Athletics Director Wayne Joubert introduced himself to the PTG, saying, “A three-legged pot cannot stand if one leg is removed. Parents, students and teachers are all equally important to keeping our community strong.”

Principal Jamie Martin provided updates on the ISG Jubail campus council and shared highlights from the recent launch of the Parent Engagement Program, the workshop was a great success, with returning and new families eager to engage with our ISG Strategic Priorities. Parents and staff then reviewed budget reports and discussed campus improvements, including new gym acoustic panels that will enhance teaching and allow the school to host more community events.

The group also shared the PTG calendar for the new school year, outlining upcoming activities and meetings. Fresh ideas were discussed, adding excitement to the year’s plans and encouraging continued collaboration.

Thank you to all the parents and staff who attended. Your presence and contributions reflect the spirit of ISG Jubail and the commitment to building a strong, caring community for every student.
