This week marked an exciting milestone for American School Dhahran (ASD) as we welcomed representatives from three prestigious institutions: University of Toronto, Boston University and Queen’s University, for our first round of university visits this academic year.

These visits provided students from both ASD and British School of Dhahran with a unique opportunity to engage directly with university admissions officers, ask thoughtful questions and explore future academic pathways. Each session featured comprehensive presentations covering key aspects of the university experience, including academic offerings, campus life, international student support and admissions processes.

The University of Toronto, one of Canada’s most renowned research institutions, highlighted its extensive range of programs and global reputation. Boston University, located in the heart of one of America’s leading education hubs, offered insights into its dynamic urban campus and interdisciplinary opportunities. Meanwhile, Queen’s University, known for its strong sense of community and academic excellence, shared valuable perspectives on student life in a traditional Canadian university setting.

These visits represent an important step in ASD’s ongoing commitment to supporting students as they navigate the exciting yet complex process of planning for life after high school.

We are especially grateful to Ms. Mona Lewars, ISG Head of College & Career Programs, whose leadership and dedication have been instrumental in coordinating these visits. Her strong relationships with universities around the world continue to open doors for our students, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their academic futures.

As our college and career programming continues to grow, we remain committed to creating meaningful opportunities that help our students explore, connect and prepare for success in higher education and beyond. We look forward to welcoming many more universities throughout the year.
