This week, British School Dhahran (BSD) proudly hosted representatives from three renowned institutions, the University of Toronto, Queen’s University Boston University and marking the first university visits of the academic year.

These visits offered students from both BSD and ASD a valuable chance to connect directly with university admissions officers. They engaged in meaningful conversations, asked thoughtful questions and explored future academic pathways. Each session included in-depth presentations covering key aspects of university life, such as academic programs, campus culture, international student support and the admissions process.

The University of Toronto, recognized as one of Canada’s foremost research institutions, emphasized its diverse range of programs and its esteemed global reputation. In contrast, Queen’s University, noted for its strong sense of community and academic rigor, provided valuable perspectives on student life within a traditional Canadian university framework. Boston University, situated in a prominent educational hub in the United States, conveyed insights into its vibrant urban campus and interdisciplinary academic opportunities.

These visits represent a crucial step in BSD's ongoing commitment to supporting students in the intricate process of planning for their post-secondary education. We extend our gratitude to Ms. Mona Lewars, the ISG Head of College and Career Programs, whose leadership and dedication have been pivotal in coordinating these visits. Her robust relationships with universities worldwide continue to create opportunities for our students, ensuring they possess the knowledge and the confidence necessary to make informed decisions regarding their academic futures.

As our college and career programs evolve, BSD remains dedicated to facilitating meaningful opportunities that assist our students in exploring, connecting and preparing for success in higher education and beyond. We anticipate welcoming additional universities throughout the academic year.
